Belgian adventurer Louis-Philippe Loncke set out to cross the Simpson Desert twice.

But not all big dreams go to plan.

Along with hot conditions and a growing injury, Louis-Philippe Loncke endured desert flies swarming his face each day of his attempted crossing.
