Be an Explorer Immortal
The Explorers Club LeFrak Terrace
There is a limited opportunity to be permanently recognized at the historic Explorers Club Headquarters with a personally engraved tile on the LeFrak Terrace, just steps from the Clark Lecture Room and Library. Place your name, or someone that you would like to honor, alongside exploration legends like President Theodore Roosevelt, Neil Armstrong and Roald Amundsen, and friends from all over the world.
The beautiful terrace features 15th Century columns with capitals from Trie-en-Bigorre in the Hautes-Pyrénées region of France. These same capitals are also part of the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s dedicated museum to medieval art, The Cloisters. The LeFrak Terrace is an idyllic location adorned with Arts and Crafts artisan Samuel Yellin’s hand-wrought iron, lush greens, and the Trie-en-Bigorre marble pillars, where your name will be engraved for all to see in perpetuity.
By making a tax deductible donation of $4,250 or more specifically to our Lowell Thomas Building Fund you will be recognized with your own personally dedicated tile, and every tile contributor will be listed in each Journal, published quarterly since 1921.
