Colin Putt memorialised in new film

Treasured Explorers Club Member (ANZEC), friend and mentor to many, Colin Putt (1926 - 2016) has been memorialised in a new video documentary produced by acclaimed adventure film maker Michael Dillon.

The 20 minute film is made from original footage of the Patanela expedition to Heard Island in 1964-65 which resulted in the first ascent of Australia’s highest mountain, Big Ben.

The Australia and New Zealand Chapter of The Explorers Club commends Michael Dillon for his initiative in producing this fine documentary. This documentary will enable us to celebrate, remember and remind future generations of Explorers about Colin Putt and why he remains eternally dear to our chapter.
